Iran Confirms Continued Nuclear Enrichment
As reported by a news agency, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi stated on Monday that Iran intends to carry on enriching uranium despite recent assaults by Israel and the United States.
Ravanchi emphasized in an interview with a German national broadcaster, “No one can tell us what we should or should not do as long as we move within the framework of our obligations under the treaty.”
On Sunday, US President Donald Trump announced that American forces had bombed Iran’s Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities.
The US assault involved dropping six bunker-buster bombs on the Fordo site using B-2 stealth bombers, along with numerous submarine-launched cruise missile attacks on the Natanz and Isfahan locations.
These strikes represent the most recent escalation in a US-supported Israeli military campaign against Iran since June 13, which has led Tehran to retaliate with missile attacks on Israel.
Israeli officials reported that Iranian missile strikes have caused at least 25 deaths and injured hundreds of people.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Health Ministry stated that the Israeli offensive has resulted in a minimum of 430 fatalities and over 3,500 injuries within Iran.
